Good Afternoon All
After very careful examination of the Government Corvid Roadmap together with the Bowls England (EBA) Website and the English Bowling Federation (EBF) Website and their statement 25th February 2021 re OUTDOOR SEASON 2021 I would advise you as follows on behalf of the SCUNTHORPE & DISTRICT BOWLS LEAGUE.
The following is based on the Governments Roadmap not changing on the dates given by them and the National Bodies.
On March 29TH 2021 Bowls Clubs May OPEN but MUST FOLLOW THE RULE OF SIX AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WITH NO MORE THAN TWO HOUSEHOLDS ON A RINK FOR SOCIAL BOWLING OR INTERNAL CLUB
COMPETITIONS LIMITED TO THE ABOVE RULES
SCUNTHORPE AND DISTRICT BOWLS LEAGUE – LEAGUE MATCHES TO START ON MONDAY 17th MAY 2021 AND SOCIAL DISTANCING BE MAINTAINED ; SUGGEST USING ALTERNATE RINKS AND ONE PERSON PER RINK SENDING THE JACK AND ONE PERSON PER RINK POSITIONING THE MAT WITH PLAYERS KEEPING SOCIAL DISTANCING
JACKS AND MATS SHOULD BE SANITISED BEFORE AND AFTER MATCHES
AT THIS TIME I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND ANY DETAILS AS TO WHEN CLUB HOUSES MAY BE OPENED BUT WILL ADVISE AS SOON AS DETAILS AVAILABLE
WITH REGARD TO ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEAGUE MATCHES THEY MUST BE RE-ARRANGED AND PLAYED WITHIN THE S&DBL RULES AND CONSTITUTION TO AVOID BEING PENALISED
PLEASE STAY SAFE IN EVERYONES INTEREST
